Britain's Got Talent 2013 results recap: Jack Carroll, Alice  Fredenham get four yesses

Comedian Jack Carroll, shy singer Alice Fredenham(這個也不錯但不那麼得我心) and dance  group Attraction were among the successful acts in the first week of Britain’s  Got Talent 2013 auditions.

The seventh series of the variety talent show kicked off tonight, and among  the stand out contestants was Carroll, a 14-year-old cerebral palsy  sufferer.

He managed to win over the crowd and the panel after a string of funnymen  fell flat, including Colin Smith, Jonathan Hines and Paul Stark, the latter of  whom was booed off stage.

“Jack you are a comedy genius,” said Little Britain star David  Walliams as the panel awarded him four yesses. “I wasn’t as funny as you  at 14, I’m not even as funny now as you are now at 14 years old. It was  incredible. Every joke was a winner.”

Fredenham, a 28-year-old beauty therapist, blew the panel away with a voice  that Simon Cowell described as ‘liquid gold’, despite  battling extreme stage fright.

“That was the most memorising, sultry, sexy performance and I fell in love  with you,” commented Amanda Holden.

Also flying the flag for the singers were 11-year-old Arixandra Libantino and  London choir Gospel Singers Incognito, both of whom made it through.

However, others weren’t as lucky, with mother-daughter duo Two’s Country  getting buzzed off by all four judges. Despite travelling from Europe to try  out, Maria Calabrese and Alexei were also rejected – while 28-year-old Hayley  May’s failure to remember her lyrics cost her a place in the competition.

One of the most emotional performances of the show came from Attraction, a  nine-strong ‘shadow dance’ group from Hungary. They told a moving true story  using the movements of their bodies projected on to a screen.

“That was so beautiful, just so poignant and emotional,” Alesha  Dixon said. “I kind of forgot that we were here and you just drew me in  completely. It was fantastic.”

Amanda was left teary-eyed, while Simon added: “Guys I just want to say thank  you actually for coming over to enter this competition.

“I’m always very flattered when people from other countries want to compete  on this show and it is one of the best acts I’ve ever seen in terms of  originality and it was very touching.”

‘Chair dancer’ Kerri Graham also secured her place after surprising the  judges by stripping off – with her performance even prompting Simon to get on stage for the first time ever.

During the media mogul’s absence in Manchester, the other judges gave the  thumbs up to Sia Lord, latin dancers Viva Elvis, and 57-year-old Martin Healy,  who performed with a broom dressed as a nun.

However, madcap routines didn’t work for singer Taichi Imanishi and animal  impressionist Eshanul Chy, who were both sent home.
